Are bat flips passé?
The Seattle Mariners apparently think so. The team unveiled a series of preseason commercials on Wednesday, and one of those ads poked fun at the bat-flipping tradition.
With bat flips seemingly being a little tired, the commercial—which features M’s stars Kyle Seager, Mike Zunino and Leonys Martin—presents a series of alternative home-run celebration moves: “The Swashbuckler,” “The Jockey,” “The Lullaby,” “The Grandpa,” “The Drum Major” and “The Mic Drop.”
