Dr. Oetker Giuseppe Pizzeria My Hometown: Kiera Neal and the Winnipeg Jets

Keira Neal is from Fairmont Hot Springs, BC. She loves all sports but her passion is hockey. When Keira was a year old doctors found a tumor in her quadricep. It was cancer and she was given a 20 percent chance of survival, and amputation gave her the best odds. Today, the ten year old is thriving both on and off the ice and she might be the Winnipeg Jets’ biggest fan. Her favourite player (he’s also big) Dustin Byfuglien. Two years ago Keira wrote a letter to the Children’s Wish Foundation. Her wish was to meet Big Buff and be part of the team for a day. In early March her wish came true and it was more than she could have ever imagined. (Stephen Brunt)
