Carolina Hurricanes goaltender Eddie Lack was stretchered off the ice following a 4-3 overtime loss to the Detroit Red Wings on Monday night.

Lack was run into by Detroit’s Andreas Athanasiou at 1:59 of overtime and appeared to injure his left leg on the play, which Athanasiou scored on. Lack was down on the ice for several minutes before a stretcher came to help him off.

Both teams stood around post-game to watch the situation unfold.
