TORONTO — Frederik Andersen is on the ice at the Toronto Maple Leafs practice rink and being put through a normal warmup by goalie coach Steve Briere.
Andersen emerged from the dressing room an hour before his teammates were scheduled to practise, and a little more than 36 hours after he was removed from a game against the Buffalo Sabres with an undisclosed upper-body injury.
His status for Tuesday’s game against Florida is unclear.
Leafs coach Mike Babcock said the Sabres team doctor removed Andersen from Saturday’s 5-2 loss, but didn’t provide any specifics on his condition.

The goaltender has appeared in a career-high 61 games this season and is a big reason why the Leafs find themselves sitting third in the Atlantic Division.
The team has eight games left on its regular-season schedule.
