PLC keen for Arabian Gulf Cup to be a ball on the field and off on Saturday
Dubai: Fans at Al Nasr Club’s Al Maktoum Stadium will be treated to a number of events and entertaining activities ahead of the Arabian Gulf Cup Final.
The Pro League Committee (PLC) has designated a fan zone outside the stadium with activities starting at 4pm with an entertainment show, competitions offering the chance to win valuable prizes, skill events — and shoot-out competitions against a robot goalkeeper.
On site there will be traditional Emirati food in addition to the PLC Sponsors’ corner where Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank will present a speed challenge competition, a photography corner and the chance to enter the half-time draft.
Ahead of the kick-off the PLC has planned a special opening ceremony sponsored by Etisalat. The ceremony is planned to celebrate the two teams’ achievement in reaching the final, while creating an exciting fun atmosphere for the fans. Representatives from police across the UAE will be honoured for their efforts in maintaining security during matches.
The winners of PLC-organised competitions through its social media networks and radio stations throughout the week will be presented with their prizes too. Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank, in turn, will present valuable prizes in a half-time draft for the fan zone visitors.
